Guardian Paws Overnight Check Ins @ San Marcos
Ayla & Guest's Pets
I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. I have years of experience caring for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to chickens, goats, ponies, and even llamas. I share my life with a high-energy Husky, so I’m very familiar with the needs of active breeds. I’ve also raised my dog’s litters, giving me hands-on experience with puppy care, training, and socialization.
I’ve often been called an ‘animal whisperer’ because of my natural ability to connect with pets and understand their unique personalities and needs. While I don’t hold an official certification, many people have praised my skills as a dog trainer and encouraged me to pursue it professionally.
What I love most about being with pets is the trust and bond we build. Whether it’s helping a dog burn off energy on a walk, providing gentle care for a senior pup, or reinforcing positive behaviors, I find so much joy in supporting their happiness and well-being. Animals bring out the best in us, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to care for them.
I currently have a 12-year-old Husky, which has been an incredibly rewarding and evolving experience. Huskies are known for their intelligence, energy, and strong personalities, and I’ve spent years meeting the unique needs of such an active breed through exercise, play, and mental stimulation. As he’s gotten older, I’ve learned to adapt to his changing needs, providing gentle walks, extra care, and accommodations to keep him comfortable and happy in his senior years.
I’ve also raised my dog’s litters, which gave me hands-on experience in puppy care, from socialization and feeding routines to basic training. This taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding dogs at every stage of life.
Beyond my own dog, I’ve cared for a variety of animals, including cats, chickens, goats, ponies, and llamas. I’ve often been described as an ‘animal whisperer’ because of my natural ability to connect with pets and understand their unique needs. Caring for my Husky, especially as he ages, has deepened my passion for providing pets with the love, attention, and tailored care they deserve.
