Summary.

We are so excited to add Pup N Me training classes. This class is all about the kids and their Fur Pals.

This class is broken up into 8 week course. Each week, the kids will learn how to handle, train, reward, and correct their Fur pal. We also learn how important it is to financially support our Pup, and we have the kids participate in picking a "job" to do, so they can make side money to help support their pal! It's a big responsibility, and we are here for it!

Our addendum is all explained in our Pup N Me training handbook, which has fun activities, relative to the lesson in class. The kids will get to practice what they learned, keep a journal of what works, explain issues that they have or may have had, and a place to add pictures and funny notes. Every child will have one week to learn, practice, and apply each of the lessons we learn together. Each lesson has a chapter quiz to complete in the book, as well as a "play it out" test. The child will have to demonstrate that they learned the lesson by completing the action with little to no help for the class. Once the milestone is reached, the child will be rewarded with a small gift, relative to the next chapter. It keeps the kids attentive, active in the program, and helps them fully develop the Rockstar that they already are!!

Each and every child and Fur pal team will receive a journal to keep track of progress for themselves, and their pal. It will also help to keep parents updated on the child's progress, strengths, and things we could help them strengthen.

We at K9 In Line make safety our first priority. Because of this, we require proof of vaccination of the Fur pal participant.

Pup N Me classes are for children ages 8-13, and puppies ages 9 weeks to 6 months. We aim to guide the children in the training and responsibility portion of having a Fur pal. We keep all sessions short (30 minutes). We play a lot, because it's proven that children learn better when they're having fun. We encourage good values, reward great behavior, and take a gentle approach when someone in a team, needs a little extra help!

My training methods

We use a multitude of innovative training techniques. We are very aware that many places will use old tried and true traditional training methods. We at K9 In Line are also very aware, that every single case is different. What works with one dog, may not for another. We evaluate the dog, the human, the environment, the personality, the breed, characteristics of the dogs breed, age, size, and interests. We consider everything as a bigger picture, and we then break it into smaller, and more digestible pieces. We apply general knowledge, common sense, compassion, understanding, charisma, and above all else, FUN! We build a relationship with your furpal, and then treat them as our own.
We don't just "train the dog".
We aim to provide your furmily memeber with the tools they need to be pawsome, productive, and well behaved and pawfectly mannered. We provide a space for your dog to build his skills to be what you need him to be, without judgement, harsh words, or painful techniques! We are in this together, to help your fur pal learn how to be the best pal he can be!

How long to expect results

Typically, every single dog is different. Every case is different.
Puppies typically learn faster than older dogs. However, this depends entirely on dogs personality, willingness to learn, and what they are interested. Most basic obedience can be seen being learned, retained, and practiced the same day. Some things take longer. That is perfectly normal. With patience on the owners part, and recognition of all moving parts of the obedience training, results can be seen the same day as the lesson!

What are the expectations of your pet

Puppies ages 9 weeks to 6 months.
Must be vaccinated. (Proof of this will be required)
Must have appropriate collar/harness and leash.
Must NOT be "animal" or "food agressive"

My qualifications

I learned my training techniques through working at various animal shelters and in pet rescue for abandoned and neglected animals for approximately 10 years.
I have attended various seminars for breed specific training methods.
I have attended various classes for specific specialty training, such as "anxiety alert", "service specific techniques" for persons that need extra help at home, due to the inability to bend, or move, or reach, and "scent imprint".
