Brookline Hege's Pet Sitting @ Brookline

Hi!

My name is Hege and I am a 21 year old girl (woman) from Norway. I finished high school June 2015 and because I didn´t quite know what to do with my life, as there are too many options, I decided to take a few years off while making up my mind. Not long after I graduated high school, I moved to Switzerland to work as an au pair for a year. During this year, I had still not figured out what I wanted to do or what I wanted to become when I got «big», so i decided to find a new au pair job, only this time I went to Brookline, MA. I have lived and worked here since January 2017.

But, ever since coming here, I have been missing my dog back home in Norway. Her name is Lotte and she is a Golden Retriever of almost 3 years of age. I miss taking her out for walks, teaching her new tricks and just in general be around her. That´s why I figured this would be a terrific way for me to spend some time with animals without getting one myself, as I´m living in another family´s house and at some point I have to go back home to Norway.
I enjoy being with pets because it has always been a part of my life. I also feel like pets, especially dogs, can give love in a way that you will never find in a human being.
Throughout the years, my family has had many pets, dogs and cats in particular.
A year before I was born, my family got a German Shepherd, Oxana. She was a special dog for me and my family. She was my babysitter from a young age and she would always help put me to bed staying in my bed until I was asleep. Also a great with kids in general. My whole family still miss her. We had her until I was 8.
When I was between 3 and 4 we bought an English Setter called Sonny. Unfortunately we didn´t have him for long.
At the age of 9 or 10 we bought a Gordon Setter called Maya. Because of my parent´s divorce and new living arrangements we had to sell her when I was 12.
When I was 18 my dad and my stepmom bought a Golden Retriever. She is a very loving dog and I miss to spend time with her.
We have also had quite a few cats. And even though I do prefer dogs over cats, I also enjoy being around cats, giving them hugs and kisses.
We have also had rabbits and fish.

I do know how to teach a dog new tricks, but because I've only taught our dog limited tricks a long time ago, I will not mark it as a skill.
