Hi! I'm Heather, an avid animal lover. I can't afford to have my own pets, so I live vicariously through those who don't mind sharing some time with me I absolutely love dogs, cats and birds, but others are definitely appreciated as well ️
I grew up with dogs, birds and snakes. I've owned parakeets, double yellow heads and cockatoos, definitely never minded the mess or the noise and know that they can be temperamental at times, especially when they're not feeling good or new to the environment.
My family has had one German shepherd and 2 mixed dogs, and I've been around pitties, Dalmatians, long haired and short haired hot dogs, chihuahua, newfies, all kinds. I know some are friendly and some are not, some are ok with minimal contact and others love attention.
With any kind of pet, it's always important to allow them to get a chance to know you and you, them. Not all pets want attention even if you want to give it to them, so knowing habits are important, especially if it comes to the safety of those around you and yourself. Also, listening to the owner is the first priority because that's their fuzzy child and they know the fuzzy child best.
