Kayla & Guest's Pets
Hi! I'm Kayla Barnett, an army wife and proud pet parent to two cats and two dogs. Animals have always been a huge part of my life—from growing up with a pet crow named Ivan and a raccoon named Berkeley to rescuing and rehabilitating baby raccoons and skunks. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do; it’s part of who I am.
I’ve been walking dogs since middle school and have experience with almost every breed, from Affenpinschers to Pit Bulls and Huskies. I also work on manners and socialization, ensuring pets feel comfortable and cared for. Over the years, I’ve provided pet care for fellow military families, and now that I’m stationed far from a base, I’ve decided to restart my pet-sitting profile.
My husband and I are active, love being outdoors, and dream of owning a ranch in Texas one day. Until then, we’re dedicated to giving your fur babies all the love, attention, and care they deserve—just like we would want for our own!
I have five pets—three cats and two dogs—each with their own personality and needs. My experience with them has strengthened my ability to care for a variety of animals, especially when it comes to training, socialization, and medical care.
Dogs: I have experience with multiple breeds, including high-energy dogs that require structured exercise and training. I focus on positive reinforcement, leash manners, and socialization to ensure well-balanced pets.
Cats: I understand feline behavior, from social cats to more independent ones, and I’m experienced in handling different temperaments, providing enrichment, and ensuring they receive proper care and attention.
Beyond my own pets, I’ve cared for and rehabilitated wildlife like raccoons and skunks, giving me a deeper understanding of animal behavior and medical care. My hands-on experience allows me to provide personalized care tailored to each pet’s needs.
