Hi, I’m Day! I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and caring for them brings me so much joy. Having grown up fostering kittens and raising my own pets, I’ve learned how each one has its own unique personality and needs. I share my home with a mini labradoodle and two cats, who keep me active, playful, and always surrounded by love. Spending time with pets, whether it’s playing, walking, or just relaxing together, is truly one of my favorite things to do. It’s more than just a job for me—it’s a passion!
a mini labradoodle named Ava and two cats, Iceland and Sage. Ava is 8 months old, full of energy, and loves to play with other dogs. I adopted her from a reputable breeder when she was 8 weeks old. Iceland, my calico cat, was rescued 5 years ago from under a truck in Ocala. She’s very affectionate with people but likes her own space when it comes to other animals. Sage, my black cat, was rescued from the Humane Society after being neglected. He’s a bit smaller for a male cat but has a gentle, calm nature. My experience with pets spans from fostering kittens since I was 16 to raising my current furry family, making me well-versed in caring for both cats and dogs.

A day at Furry Friends Haven is filled with activity, playtime, and lots of love! Here’s what a typical day looks like for your pet:
Morning Routine
The day starts with a morning walk for the dogs. We’ll head to the 8-acre park where they can stretch their legs, sniff around, and maybe even meet some new friends! For cats, the morning includes breakfast and a bit of light play with toys or time spent lounging by the windows.
Mid-Morning Playtime
After the walk, we’ll engage in fun, interactive activities. For dogs, this means indoor playtime with their favorite toys, chasing a ball, or tug-of-war. Cats will enjoy some time climbing their cat trees or engaging in a bit of feather toy fun. There’s always plenty of supervised time on the balcony for the cats, where they can safely enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
Afternoon Relaxation
After all that play, it’s time to relax. For dogs, this means lounging on the couch, maybe watching a pet-friendly show or just taking a nap. Cats usually retreat to their favorite cozy spots or bask in the sunlight for an afternoon snooze. I make sure they all have time to relax and feel at home.
Late Afternoon Stroll
As the day progresses, dogs will go for another walk, or perhaps a quick trip around the park for some fresh air and exercise. For those staying longer, we might visit the beach on weekends, where they can play in the sand and run by the water.
Evening Wind Down
The day wraps up with one last bit of playtime, cuddles, and evening feedings. Cats might get some grooming time, which they usually love, especially Iceland and Sage, my two cats. Dogs can wind down with belly rubs and*****before settling in for the night.
