Kiah Reid - Dog Sitting And Dog Walking @ Glasgow

My name is Kiah, I am originally from Belfast and have currently just finished my semester at Uni. I love animals and it would be an amazing experience to get to know your pets and learn more about the animals I adore. I’m currently missing my pet back home so to be able to show my love for another pet would be an amazing and rewarding opportunity. I enjoy being with pets as they show an overwhelming amount of love and affection, which is very comforting. I feel each pet has a distinctive personality, to which learning and knowing every pet’s character becomes a fun , enjoyable and rewarding experience. Overall I adore being with pets as they are part of someone’s family and show kindness in a way that cannot be shown by humans.
I have a 3 year old lab/Springer called Murphy ( Before Murphy I had a mixed breed called Lilly, who died when she was 17) . Murphy loves the outdoors and adores chicken! He is quite a shy dog and can get nervous around people so I need to make sure he feels comfortable in every situation and ensure he doesn’t feel anxious when new people are around . I also often dog and cat sit for my aunt when she is on holiday . She has a 10 year old and a 2 year old cocker spaniel and a 5 year old cat (unsure of the breed). The eldest dog , Molly, loves every bit of attention she can get, some would call her a diva ! The youngest dog , bear, is a big ball of energy, who loves to play with almost anything! The cat, Smudge, likes to keep to herself and likes her independence. Overall, although I do not have any working experience I have grown up with pets all of my life so understand the love and affection that is needed whilst looking after them, but also understand how each pet has different needs and will expect different things from its owner too.
I know I have a passion for working with animals, which others may not obtain. I understand that each animal will have a different personality, which I am eager and enthusiastic to learn about. I feel like my service stands out cause I understand the value of a pet and know animals are a key member of a family. I understand how important a pet can be for a family , therefore my service will show a level of love, commitment and affection that cannot be taught with training.
I adore learning more about each animal and their different personalities. I enjoy providing comfort to animals and showing love and affection. I love every aspect of looking after a pet as they deserve every bit of effort and work that I put in. Pets are remarkable creatures that have a level of affection and compassion that humans cannot compare to, therefore I enjoy every thing about dog sitting as it allows me to give back something to pets, who provide us all with a special bond that cannot be compared.
