Luiza’s Dog Walking Services @ Southampton
Dog & Guest's Pets
Hi! My name is Luiza and I recently moved to Southampton. I have had experiences with all sorts of animals since I was 8, including dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs and fish! I have owned2 dogs throughout my life (I don’t own1 right now unfortunately),1 of which I raised from a puppy and so I’m well acquainted with puppies and their needs, socialisation and training. I’ve walked and pet sit a couple of dogs and cats back in London, anything ranging from half an hour walks to overnight stays. I’ve always had a fondness for animals, staring when I got my first dog at age 8 and my first cat age 11 and so, working with animals is quite possibly the BEST job for me and I’d love to continue this as a future career.
I have a dachshund back in my family home. We’ve had him since he was a tiny puppy and he’s had some health issues as well as behavioural issues. He had some trauma during the birth and so became blind in1 eye, which we treated via medication. He’s better and can see more now and hasn’t really been affected by it but we’re careful of his eye. He’s also got a lot of anxiety, which is, unfortunately, quite common for his breed, and he has lots of anxious behaviours and etc we’ve learnt to treat and train him out of.
Skills and qualifications

Other skills
I have experience with training puppies, dealing with separation anxiety (and generally anxious dogs as I have owned a miniature dachshunds, who have lots of anxiety in general). I can wash and groom your pet, quite adept with those who hate water.
About Luiza’s Dog Walking Services
Summary.
All in all, the walks with your pet will be based on their needs and likes. For example, a puppy who needs socialisation would be taken to nearby parks so they’d become aquatinted with not only other dogs, but humans too, so your pet won’t be antisocial. Same goes for grown animals who need the same care. I’d generally separate the walk into2 sections: a street walk and a park walk. This is because the street walk would reinforce the dog’s training to walk on leash and would expose them to a variety of sounds, smells and noises as well as people. The park walk would let them run around with other dogs and spend all their energy in a safe and closed space. It would also aid with any training you’d require, such as working on their recall skills so they come when called. If there are any particular parks you prefer me to take them to, I can certainly do that! I will also keep you updated throughout the walk if so wished, sending pictures and etc. Dogs that are not allowed to walk on leash will not be left off at any time, so you do not need to worry about your pets’ safety.
