I have experience with large dogs for example I’ve owned a 2 pit bulls and there was a mastiff. With small dogs I have experience in pocket sized Yorkshire terriers

Summary.
After collecting your beloved pet if it’s in the morning
I would take it for a walk the get some exercise and mental stimulation after getting home and it resting and hydrated for about 30 mins I would engage in some playtime for example using its favourite toy as we know they always have their favourite then some treats to reward good behaviour if the owner agrees with me giving the dog treats or has a specific type they prefer I use , I am up for anything. After that let the dog rest will a prepare a meal by choice of the owner and before leaving for home give it a nice bath and brushing because we all know the fur tend the get on everything, but we love them nevertheless. If the service is during the day might take the pet out for a play date if the weather is nice and warm so it can play in the park maybe run around a bit
And afterward maybe spend some time showing affection to the pet with cuddles and attention
If the service is in the afternoon then walking the dog would be a great choice then maybe after walking maybe some brushing of the fur and playing with it
