Hey, I’m Helēna from Latvia just moved to Vienna to get some experience in animal care abroad. Since I was the only kid I loved to think that my pets are my brothers and sisters and animals have been my family ever since.
I met Fox 10months ago at an animal shelter (mixed breed pup) I started to socialise her so she can find an owner faster and it turned out that I was the owner she was was looking for. She is the second dog I’ve adopted from an animal shelter, and my experience with rescue dogs are amazing, they’ve been thankful and loyal an loving.
I’ve been volunteering at an animal shelter for 10years now, my experience with dogs are from puppies to seniors, tiny paws to large breeds, traumatised to aggressive. Right now in Vienna I have all the time in the world to walk your dog or 3 and even take care of them for weeks.
I work in film making and I love the feeling that you are part of something bigger, that everyone has to hold hands tight to get things done, team work makes the dream work. But when it comes to volunteering and animals I love the idea that there are times when I can help to those who are too weak to help themselves. And then the love in return , I can’t even put it down in word.
