Hi there! My name is Tori,

I have been an animal lover my whole life...so much so that my first word was our cat's name.
I love animals of all shapes and sizes, whether they have scales, feathers, or fur.
Animals are my favourite company, they're always happy to see you and are always such a joy to be around.
My boy, Axl, is a German shepherd x Labrador who loves every person he meets.
He's usually pretty shy at the dog park. Sometimes he gets vocal when he sees other dogs (or when I don't throw his tennis ball fast enough).
He gets along great with every dog he meets. He likes to play sheriff when his playmates get out of hand (Axl doesn't like bullies!)
Axl has been my pride and joy since he was a puppy and we have had an amazing 6 years together. Everyone who meets him always raves about how sweet and friendly he is.
Axl is gentle with children (he's very aware of his size and is constantly careful not to knock things or people over), and has no interest in babies!
He's great with cats as he has had cat siblings his whole life (our current cat, Turbo, absolutely adores Axl). He is always cautiously curious when he meets them. He tends to approach carefully and see what reaction he gets...he is careful to avoid eye contact with an unfriendly cat and will even provide his own 6 foot social distancing from any cat that might be unhappy with him.

Axl does have some special needs. He has chronic shoulder pain, and allergy induced asthma. For most of his life I have had to manage his diet and medications.
He struggles with weight loss due to damage in his shoulder. We have never been able to get a final answer on what causes it but it is managed with careful walk routines, controlled play and fetch time, lots of swimming in the summer, and medications.
I love every animal I meet. I can't stand to see an animal suffer or be mistreated.
Since I was young I have had a love and passion for animals.

I have experience administering all sorts of medications to dogs, cats, and hamsters.
My own dog receives puffers daily and in the past has been on metacam, gabapentin, glucosamine, big pills small pills capsules. You name it and I've managed to get it into him everytime (he hates all his medications and fights the whole time!)
I have experience with liquid medications and oral pills for cats (yes, even those cats that fight the whole time I am quick and gentle and almost never have an issue.

I love being around animals. They bring me joy, I think all animals are beautiful and/or adorable.
They are such great companions and each one has a different personality with their own little quirks.
I love meeting and getting to know as many little fur friends as possible!
