I've been around animals and cared for them ever since I started horseback riding as a kid, and finally convinced my mom to let me finally have a cat (my prayers for a puppy didn't seem to get through). I love animals of all shapes and sizes. They love unconditionally and are absolutely honest.
When I was a preteen I started working more with the horses and doing barn work to pay for lessons. Over the years I learned to train horses on the ground, learned basic equine first aid which has been extremely useful when caring for my own pet or working at a dog kennel. I worked at the Springbank dog kennel and learned the ins and outs of caring for small to medium sized dogs at the kennel. Cleaning, feeding, potty breaks, and doggy day care! Check in and check outs of the dogs were essential and making sure we knew how the dog was when we would check them in and assure owners they are fit and healthy when they leave. Dogs all have different feeding schedules, medications, and this is all very important to stick to. Routine is key when caring for animals.
I hope my background is enough to show future big and small pup owners that I am very willing and most importantly capable.
I enjoy the work I do because I love being around animals. I've always had a way with animals, knowing how to approach them, and how to work with them in a way where we both understand each other.
