A typical day of dog boarding at my house is designed to ensure your dog feels safe, loved, and happy. Here’s how the day unfolds:
Morning
• Wake-Up Routine: The day starts early with a cheerful greeting for each dog, followed by a morning potty break in the yard or nearby park.
• Breakfast Time: Every dog gets their breakfast according to their usual schedule and dietary needs.
• Play and Exercise: After breakfast, we have some active playtime, whether it’s a game of fetch, a walk, or supervised running in the yard to burn off some energy.
Midday
• Quiet Time: Dogs relax indoors with cozy spaces to rest. If your dog enjoys cuddles, this is a perfect time for bonding.
• Lunch or Snacks (If Needed): For dogs with specific meal schedules, lunchtime is calm and consistent.
• Enrichment Activities: Puzzle toys, sniffing games, or basic training exercises keep their minds engaged.
Afternoon
• Walk or Outdoor Play: Depending on the dog’s needs, we go for a second walk or enjoy another session of supervised playtime outside.
• Social Interaction: If there are other dogs staying, they’ll have time to socialize in a safe, monitored environment.
Evening
• Dinner Time: Meals are served as per your instructions, keeping your dog’s routine intact.
• Relaxation and Snuggles: After dinner, it’s time to unwind. Dogs can relax on comfy beds or enjoy quiet time with me.
• Final Potty Break: Before bedtime, we head out for a quick potty break to ensure a comfortable night.
Bedtime
• Each dog has their own dedicated sleeping area, designed to feel secure and cozy, whether that’s their crate, a dog bed, or a spot on the couch (with your permission).
Throughout the day, I make sure every dog feels loved and attended to. My goal is to mirror their home routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and stress-free. You’ll also receive updates and photos to stay connected to your furry friend while they’re with me!
